PART-TIME SALES ASSISTANTS | WALTON-ON-THAMES

Bridgman is a leading quality, luxury furniture retailer with a 45-year heritage in British design. Bridgman’s vision is to move away from solely garden furniture but create a presence within and around the home year-round.


Working independently, the Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting the Showroom Manager with daily operations of the showroom, upholding Bridgman’s standards and ensuring that each customer visiting our showroom enjoys a 5-star experience. Also situated within the showrooms is the concession Snug, and the showroom manager will additionally interact and close sales with these customers.


This is a part-time role, working 2 days a week pro-rata.

 

We have Showroom Assistant roles available in: Walton-on-Thames.

 

Responsibilities and Duties include:

    • Reporting to and working closely with the Showroom Manager.
    • Managing an end-to-end sales process.
    • Complete daily reports, along with ad-hoc reports when required.
    • Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally, and consistently with store policy.
    • Liaising with key stakeholders within the business.
    • Support with managing the showroom space and visual merchandising; adhering to brand guidelines.
    • Upselling key items to customers.
    • Professional retail experience in a sales advisor or supervisory position.
    • Approachable and a role model who leads by example and encourages teamwork and fosters a positive attitude and atmosphere in the workplace.
    • A brand ambassador with in-depth product knowledge.

 

Key Skills:

This is a part-time role, working 2 days a week pro-rata. You will be required to work any additional hours and cover any annual leave for the showroom (as and when requested by the Regional Showroom Manager).

HEAD OF MARKETING

Bridgman is a leading quality, luxury furniture retailer with a 46-year heritage in British design. Bridgman’s vision is to move away from solely garden furniture but create a presence within and around the home year-round.

 

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for the development of online and offline marketing strategies including performance, organic, ecommerce and retail channels. In this role, you will also proactively oversee the website's day-to-day operations, including merchandising, managing inventory, and overseeing all offline projects such as catalogues, POS, PR, and print.

 

Reporting directly to the CEO, with support from the marketing NED, the successful candidate will play a crucial part in audience building and revenue generation. You will be confident in leading a small in-house team as well as strategic agency partners.

 

Responsibilities and Duties include:

Marketing:
●   Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s revenue goals. Own and execute the marketing calendar.
●   Manage and allocate a six-figure marketing budget for effective monthly, quarterly and annual spend.
●   Manage key strategic agencies covering paid, PR, and website development
●   Maintain a strong, consistent brand message across all marketing channels that is in line with our luxury heritage brand and core customer segments.
●   Set, monitor and report on marketing team goals and key performance metrics such as Traffic, AOV, CVR, and Revenue.
●   Oversee digital marketing efforts including social media, email campaigns and website optimisation to assist in lead generation for the sales team.
●   Manage the day-to-day running of the website including merchandising, updating imagery, pricing and product details as required.
●   Proficient Experience in using Shopify, Hotjar, GA4, Google Merchant Centre, Google Ads, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager. SEMrush and Bing are desirable but not required.
●   Oversee all creative projects with the support of a small internal team, including photo and video content shoots, catalogues, POS, leaflets, and other print assets for retail showrooms and localised marketing.
●   Work closely with other departments to drive omni-channel performance and a seamless customer experience

Leadership:
●   Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to ensure buy-in and alignment within all teams.
●   Professionally develop your team to ensure their targets are understood and set. Conduct performance reviews and frequent 1-2-1’s
●   Update senior leadership team with marketing progress and reporting on campaign results

 

 

Essential Skills:

●   Previous experience working as Head of Marketing, Head of Digital or similar
●   Experience working in an omnichannel retail business
●   Excellent commerciality and budget management
●   Ability to inspire and motivate a team
●   Strong technical proficiency and knowledge of digital marketing, SEM, Social, and Brand
●   Can craft engaging campaigns that help grow brand awareness
●   Excellent communication skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
●   Embrace a fast-paced environment.
●   Experience using Shopify, Google Analytics, Hotjar and any SEO/PPC platforms is essential.

 

The Specifics:
●   This role is office based 5 days a week in Enfield, North London
●   Easy to access via public transport, nearest station Brimsdown. We also have free parking on-site outside any HQ and Bridgman building.
