Luxurious getaway

Posted by Bridgman on

England is getting sunnier every day. The days seem longer and the flow of the day seems much more relaxed. However, if you need a real break, this English summer just won’t do. Cheval Blanc is always a good idea for a luxurious getaway. Their range of hotels have an outstanding reputation and are known for their interior design and glamour. The company has the savoir-faire since it is part of the LVMH Group, no wonder the hotel is so beautifully decorated. For a needed break, the Cheval Blanc at St-Barth Isle de France in the Caribbean is the place to be with its St. Tropez like vibe. The hotel is surrounded by white beaches, clear blue waters and luxurious yachts. Cheval Blanc is still fairly new on this island but is already very popular among the rich – artists, socialites and millionaires. The hotel is not very big but contains amazing and a very comforting ambiance, think French country. Customer service has been brought to a new level, in fact, LVMH executes the art de recevoir – a strategy focusing on sublime customer service – and it works.   Even though the hotel in itself would be enough entertainment, a few big events take place on the island including Les Voiles de St-Barth (the Sailes of St-Barth). This well-known regatta is sponsored by watch-designer Richard Mille and fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier. Eighty of the world’s most expensive sailboats are featured and top sailors participate. This event, held this week , is celebrated with lots of parties in beach lounges, including Cheval Blanc’s beach lounge. Celebrating includes showing off your most glamorous beach outfit pared with your most expensive jewellery. Instead of showing off, you can also enjoy activities such as jetskiing, waterpolo or having a dance-off on the pearl-white sand. Rooms start from £400 a night. Not the cheapest hotel but definitely worth the experience. Would you go here? Let us know! Share, comment or like!   Image Credit: Cheval Blanc
